MISSION AND AIMS OF THE FOUNDATION

• To achieve equality of sexes in the context of human rights in the Bulgarian society.

• To work for building up a tolerant environment for the victims of violence and respect for them.

• To provide quality and available psychotherapeutic and social services for those who need professional aid.

• To educate and form an attitude of respect for the uniqueness of every man, tolerance and responsibility in the Bulgarian family and society.

• To help for women's intellectual, professional and spiritual growth.

• To work out and fulfil projects and programs in support of the woman and child.

• To stimulate the raise of woman' status in society.

• To work with state and municipal institutions and non-governmental organizations for solving problems, concerning violence against women and children.


TO ACCOMPLISH ITS AIMS, THE FOUNDATION FOR CARES IN THE COMMUNITY "DIVA":

• Develops specialized psychotherapeutic and social services in the Service for Supporting Women, Children and Families in violence.

• Participates in legislative initiatives, connected with women and children' rights.

• Spreads expert knowledge about the work with victims of violence in the "Centre for Education and Practice" among professionals, students and volunteers.

• Establishes contacts and exchange of experience with similar organizations in the country and abroad.

• Organizes symposia, conferences, meetings on problems, concerning the woman, child and family problems.
